Tutorial: Adding & Editing Images

Maybe you have new headshots, photos from an event, a fresh body of work... whatever the reason may be, it’s very likely that you will need to replace and/or add additional imagery to your website at some point. When the time comes, utilize these directions for a smooth process.

For single images:

 • To replace a photo already on the site, hop into edit mode and click the image you’d like to change. Double click Replace. Select Upload File if you’d like to use a brand new image. Choose Select From Library if you’d like to use an image found elsewhere on your site.

 • To add a new photo, click Add Block and select Image. You can then choose an image for that block by either selecting Upload File or Select From Library.

 • Refer to the tutorial video for guidance on the design aspects of an image.

For galleries:

 • In edit mode, hover your mouse over your gallery of images, and click Edit Gallery. To add new images, click the + symbol on the right above your collection of images. Either upload new files or select from your library of images on the site.

 • To add a description of the newly added images, just type in the Description field.

 • To italicize text, add your text around the text.

 • To made text bold, add your text around the text.

 • To add line breaks, add
to the end of each text line to act as the return key.

For video:

 • In edit mode, click on the video you’d like to replace, and select Replace. You can then choose a video for that block by either selecting Upload File, Select From Library, or Add From Link for a Youtube or Vimeo video.

 • To add a new video, click Add Block and select Video. You can then choose a video for that block by either selecting Upload File, Select From Library, or Add From Link for a Youtube or Vimeo video.

 • I always recommend having a Custom Feature Image. Toggle that on and upload an image from your computer or within your website’s asset library. This can be as simple as a screenshot from the video, or any other image that works as a cover image.

Important Reminders:

 • Don’t forget to click Save.
